Another successful Pilot

After 10 transformative weeks, we’re thrilled to celebrate the achievements of our second cohort of learners from Phokeng in the Futures Foundry Solve program! Guided by expert facilitators, these aspiring young leaders dove into the BUILD_IN_A_BOX framework, exploring the powerful BUILD Model—a Human-Centered, iterative tool for entrepreneurial leadership that focuses on the heart of innovation and problem-solving. Each of the five components—BELIEVE, UNDERSTAND, INVENT, LISTEN, and DELIVER—equipped these learners with essential entrepreneurial skills. They embraced the challenge of identifying real needs within their communities, designing impactful solutions, and implementing them hands-on. This journey was no small feat, but at the Ideas Festival, every student had the chance to reflect on their growth as emerging entrepreneurs, each step enriching their journey. At its core, entrepreneurship is about asking, “What problem am I solving?” Armed with this question and the BUILD framework, these students bravely tested their ideas in real-time. While some paths were smoother than others, every learner walked away with invaluable lessons on resilience, adaptability, and innovation.
